Jennifer Croft
Through the Women’s Small Business Alliance (which she founded), Colorado Free University, Mi Casa Resource Center for Women, and Small Business Development Centers throughout Colorado, she has taught classes on search engine optimization, marketing, and small business. For Mi Casa Resource Center for Women, she developed a comprehensive small business curriculum that was used to land a $500,000 grant from the Small Business Administration (SBA).
Jennifer is a counselor at the Small Business Development Center in Centennial, Colorado, which is operated as a collaboration between the state of Colorado and the South Metro Denver Chamber. In one-on-one sessions, she helps small business owners with search engine optimization, marketing, cash flow, budgeting and projections, pricing, and more.
In 2008 and 2009, she’s spent more than 650 hours studying search engine optimization, and she enjoys breaking the complex subject down to its simplest principles. As a recent project, she's done the same with the subject of the economic stimulus packages, creating a 31-page website that attempts to explain the most complicated times in America's financial history. In its first week, it reached the #5 spot on Google (competing against 20 million results) and was surpassed only by the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, Google News Articles, and the Washington Post. The second day, more than 100 unique visitors came to read the site. Fueled by this success, days later,
Jennifer put up another website, explaining the economic stimulus package in detail. For fun, she also wrote one on grilling baked potatoes.
In her spare time, Jennifer enjoys snowboarding 40-60 days per year, cross-country skiing, and hiking. She divides her time between Winter Park, Colorado and Denver, Colorado.
